The inventor, Jordan Schmitt, has invented a Compression/Flex band that is built integrally into a work shoe to promote durability in use. The device is designed to come across where the shoe bends and connects with the toe of the shoe for additional support. The present invention is light and improves the longevity of the host shoe.
Use of a light, durable, and bendable band material effectively stops the shoe from cracking at the crease caused by constant bends, and further it helps prevent the top of the shoe from pulling away. The toe and sole need to be effectively ‘one piece’ so the toe wraps around the top. The soles are preferably slip resistant, having a softer material for better grip. The host shoe shown has the side piece to increase durability and may be incorporated into the sole, possibly closer to the toe area in certain embodiments.
The present invention helps so that constant replacement of work shoes is not necessary. Furthermore, it helps by preventing water from entering the shoe from compromised or otherwise damaged areas. As designed, the working shoe helps minimize foot fatigue.
The shoe owner gets more use out of the shoe, thus enabling cost-effective use, yet at a price point that’s affordable to drivers since they will no longer be wearing out multiple pairs of shoes per year. The band material used is preferably neoprene since it has material properties of being flexible, durable, and substantially waterproof, yet breathable, so suitable for ventilation.
Delivery drivers that are constantly entering and leaving work vehicles stand to benefit the most from the use of the present invention, as well as those that are on their feet a large portion of the time. The present invention serves to provide durable, cost effective shoe construction.

While working in the delivery industry, Jordan discovered that delivery drivers that are constantly entering and leaving their work vehicles stand to benefit the most from the use of the present invention as well as those that on their feet a large portion of the time. Jordan contacted the Mars Rising Network and had a provisional and design patent application filed and had the invention designed properly so that he may see success with this great idea and turn it into a real product.
He is actively seeking a company that would have an interest in licensing the product for royalty. Working with Mars Rising Network, this essential new design concept was refined and prepared to be presented as a commercial product.
